Understanding Vivvo's Structure
Vivvo CMS is designed to organize content in the form of Category => Article => Comments.
Categories
The top level in Vivvo CMS’ content structure is called a Category. Categories are containers that group content items together on your website. You can use categories to organize your website’s content items into groups. Categories allow users to navigate to the information they need quicker. Categories use the parent-child architecture. This means that you can set up a top-level category (for example, "Sport"), and multiple Subcategories (for example, "Basketball", "Football" and "Tennis"). Subcategories are used to differentiate between groups of Articles, which represent web site content. All of this is a linear-formation of navigation menu.
Topics & Tags
Vivvo supports non-linear navigation menu through Topics. With topics you will dramatically improve site structure by serving related content on your website.
Site structure (Menu)
A basic structure might look like this:
- World (Category)
- Business (Category)
- Politics (Category)
- Sport (Category)
- Basketball (Subcategory)
- Football (Subcategory)
- This is your first website article (Article)
- Football World cup 2018 will be somewhere (Article) - Tennis (Subcategory)
- Weather (Category)
This structure remains constant across all pages of the website and can be graphically represented as follows:

Categories help you organize your website content. Proper content organization can greatly improve the flow and usability of your website and it is important to understand this structure before proceeding to development of your website.
