Articles
In Vivvo CMS an article is the primary, main content element.
What is article?
An article is any type of text, image or video you want your visitors to read, see, comment and rate on your web site. It is the backbone of your content.
An article can be literally anything. With Vivvo’s ability to easily manipulate templates and custom fields, your "article" can be a story, photo gallery, video (like YouTube) or anything else.
Elements of article
Default Vivvo articles consist of following elements:
- Title
- Abstract (teaser)
- Abstract image
- Abstract image caption
- Article body
- Video (with video box plugin installed)
- Image gallery (with image gallery plugin installed)
- Attachments (documents - pdf, doc; with attachments plugin installed)
Article statuses and options
Article can have one of four different statuses and several options (default in preferences). Article statuses are:
- Active - published, available to everyone to see
- Pending (Inactive) - un-published, drafted, waiting for approval.
- Archived - stored in archive, meaning it is accessible only via searching the archive.
- Deleted - in trash bin, available only to Administrator or users with "Manage trash bin" privilege.
Although default settings for articles are defined in Preferences -> Articles, every individual article can be set to accepts comments, votes (likes), or be interacted with in any other way.
